Good Morning to everyone that knows the lyrics… “I get by with a little help from my friends” I think Chicago’s Mayor Lightfoot needs to be singing the tune and embracing the concept. I realize that politically the President of the U.S. is not HER “friend”… but sometimes friends can be made in the unlikeliest of circumstances. The crime problem in Chicago is not political…. it clearly tracks on socio economics and race. It is TIME to save lives and prevent these senseless deaths in Chicago.
We’ve all seen the “Color Blocks” on social media supporting BLM and the marches. We’ve seen Al Sharpton lead the charge followed closely by the moral authority, LeBron James. All of your words and ALL of your marches have no meaning in my book because your silence on what is happening in Chicago is DEAFENING! Where are YOU? Why don’t you CARE about these Black Lives? As an outsider and patio blogger….. I’m telling you, your cause might be righteous but to most Americans… it looks like attention seeking and self promotion. Either make a stand for ALL of the violence against Blacks or sit down. Someone needs to get on the horn with Mayor Lightfoot and tell her to do WHATEVER it takes to save these lives!
There have been 373 killed so far in 2020. In the past 5 days there have been 112 shot and 19 killed. It is time for Mayor Lightfoot to admit she has a problem.
I don’t live in Chicago so my perspective is merely that of an outsider. At one time, I was very focused on every bump in the road as I ran 26.2 miles through the Windy City. I can honestly say and I would bet many others would too….. unless this violence is stopped, I won’t be visiting again. If the pleading from citizens for help won’t persuade the mayor… maybe this will. Tourists spend approximately $14 billion a year in Chicago….. FIX it or they’ll find somewhere else to drop their cash.
Mayor Lightfoot tweeted on Tuesday, “Under no circumstances will I allow Donald Trump’s troops to come to Chicago and terrorize our residents”
I can’t even fathom what was going through her head when she wrote that. The complete lack of self awareness and honesty about the crime in her city is astounding! NEWSFLASH… your citizens are CURRENTLY being terrorized and victimized and killed. She was elected to lead Chicago and from my viewpoint… she’s leading them into the burning pit of hell. Chicagoans deserve better! Play nice with POTUS, let him send help to your police officers to protect them and your residents. Quit focusing on WHO will get to mark the box for the win (You or Donald) because ultimately… it will be your RESIDENTS that win and that is what is important!

Hey. I think Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are both snakes. They only only come out of the wood work when it’s politically expedient. They most definitely could care less about helping people than a good sound bite.
My bias show’s against pretty all much all religion but it’s worse against black “ministers”. I think they are full of hot air and leach off of the people who can least afford to “support” them.
I also feel the same way about Joel osteen, billy graham and Paula white (look up a few of her doozies!
