People who give a pass to the media for spreading misinformation and untruths puzzle me. They are truly a head scratcher and I do not understand their, “meh….. so they were a bit off on their story” attitude. They act as if an incorrect story or commentary is an acceptable error. I don’t understand it. I’ll never understand it.
In every aspect of our lives, we expect and demand honesty. You expect it from your spouse, your kids, your employees, your bank, your doctor…..but when it comes to a news organization…. nah, it’s okay if they are dishonest. And, it’s not that you just give them a pass that makes my skin crawl…. it’s that you justify it by pulling out the random fact in a 20,000 word article and say, “this part was true”.
Nope… NO! NO, no no no no! That’s not how this is supposed to work. That’s not how journalism works. You don’t help them justify their wrongness by finding a miniscule of rightness buried somewhere within. When you give the media in this country the old… “At least ya got most of it right” you not only encourage dishonesty, heck…. you become part of the problem!
Yesterday, many folks found out that the media lied. I say “many” instead of “ALL” because some people knew they lied on January 8th. It took many dimwits 3 1/2 months to discover it. I’m not some investigative journalist with insider information. I’m an average ordinary sitting on my patio and I happen to have functioning brain cells and critical thinking skills. I watched all the tears and outrage and disgust amongst many over the death of a Capitol police officer and….. one thing kept me from believing the story being told about it.
Where are the pictures??? Yeah… it was as simple as that. Every damn person that was at the Capitol had a camera with them. They took photos of every moment and every step that every person took from the street all the way to popping a squat behind Pelosi’s desk. And yet….. not a single photo of Officer Sicknick’s head covered in blood or a swinging fire extinguisher was in ANY of them. NOT ONE!!! So… that’s it. That’s when this patio sitter knew that the story was fictitious.
The lies the media told about his cause of death were exposed yesterday. The medical examiner ruled that the man died from natural causes…a stroke. NO TRAUMA to the head or bruising of any kind. BUT… instead of admitting their made up bullshit story they decided to make a turn and continue driving down “Fake Facts Freeway”. IF any of you are waiting for the story from them that starts with, “We have breaking news right now. We spent countless hours telling you Officer Sicknick was murdered and beaten with a fire extinguisher and we got the entire story WRONG”, you really do live in a Unicorn World.
They didn’t do that. They won’t do that. Nah… now they are gonna have their Chief Medical Correspondent plop in a chair behind a camera and tell you that his stroke was brought on by bear spray. And do you know what many of the dimwits out there will do? They’ll believe them. Again.
How many times does someone have to show you they are a habitual liar before you finally grasp that you should stop believing them? Clearly the number is higher than 100 because we surpassed that a couple of years ago. Is it 500? How about 1000? Or, maybe you will never stop and the reality is …. You like their stories. You like all of those whoppers they fling because those whoppers make you feel all warm and fuzzy. They support your skewed beliefs about the world we live in.
You like it when they tell you that Donald Trump called military personnel losers. You like it when they said he ignored Putin placing bounties on the heads of our soldiers. You like it when they say Texas & Mississippi are gonna have massive spikes in COVID deaths because their Neanderthal governors told people to ditch the masks and get on with living a normal life. You like it when they tell you that Don Jr. was up to his elbows colluding with Russia and he had foreknowledge of the Wikileaks document dump. You like the tale of Hunter Biden’s laptop NOT being Hunter Biden’s laptop.
For the record…. every damn one of those stories was wrong. Not an ounce of truth to any of them. The austere news media in this country reported incessantly on all of those hooey phooey phony stories. And yet, dimwits still open their laptop to read articles or turn on their TV to get news about what’s happening in the world from those buffoons.
Let me tell ya something…. IF that’s what you do to get your information then you are one of the most misinformed people in this country. I strongly suggest that you steer clear of debating anyone on current events because your stupidity will become apparent rather quickly. Believe ’em if you want…… but keep it to yourself because someone some day is going to point out your incorrect facts and she may not be as polite about it as this patio blogger.
But…. let’s get to the crux of why I’m sitting on my patio typing away on my keyboard. The fact that the media lied about Officer Sicknick is appalling but honestly…. it’s still not enough to get me to sit down and type. I’m numb to the lying media these days. I’m not a dimwit so I know better than to believe them. I’ve got a full plate right now with busted appliances and graduating roommates. I could very easily have ignored this whole fake news fallacy. And… I did …for the most part until I was reminded about this:
Brian Stelter is a lying potato head. The NY Times is birdcage liner even on their best day. The Washington Post has told enough lies that they are officially compost material. ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, et al…. it’s a daily barrage of “Anonymous sources said…..”. I honest to goodness am beyond being surprised over their lies anymore.
BUT…. when the Justice Department issues a statement that is categorically FALSE… welp, that one makes me pause. Because really… is this what we’ve become? A society of yard pigs that just accept whatever is thrown into the trough? As I said in the beginning… I’m puzzled at people that just give a pass to the lying media. But “puzzled” is NOT the word I would use to describe my feelings over the United States Department of Justice telling a flat out lie to the American people. Nope… that’s a bridge too far for me.
The acting Attorney General of the United States should have verified his information before he issued a statement. And… he shouldn’t have used CNN, MSNBC, FOX or any other clown show as his verification. Stop and think about that. The most powerful person in the Justice Department lied. You can spin it, rotate it, shake it or whatever else makes you feel better but the facts are the facts and he issued a statement that is FALSE!
And… while you’re thinking….. ponder this one: The Attorney General could have picked up the phone and called the hospital or the medical examiner and simply asked, “Does he have blood & bruises all over his head? Does it look like he was beaten with a big red metal device used to put out fires??” But no….. the media was reporting it was a murder, it was MAGA idiots and they beat the crap out of him with a fire extinguisher so the Attorney General issued a statement on official DOJ letterhead and spewed their made up unconfirmed complete cockamamie tale. He used the clown car media as his source of intel. What in the absolute hell??!!!
This is where we are with these false fallacies imitating facts. It’s one thing for Potato Head Stelter to spew them. It’s an entirely different one for an Attorney General to do it. The media is so loud and so forceful in this country that they have our Justice Department believing the snake oil they are selling. Maybe that isn’t enough to make you raise an eyebrow. Well, how about this one:
The fake tale was used in legal documents presented in a court to impeach a sitting President of this country. Maybe it’s just me….. but that is very disturbing.
And lastly… .while we are discussing “disturbing”. Are any of you a tid-bit curious about WHY it took 3 months to get an official cause of death from the D.C. Medical Examiner?? Let’s be honest…. if it takes 3 months to determine whether a guy was BEATEN in the HEAD and died or whether one of his “blood tubes” got stopped up and he died…. we are NOT dealing with the top of the class Medical Examiner …. unless it was from the “Rocko School of Medicine and Auto Mechanics” . Nah…. he knew it wasn’t a beating as soon as he unzipped the black bag but for “political reasons” it was best that he sat on that info for a while.
So, if you are keeping track: The murderous INSERREKSHUN that killed 5 people… WASN’T. We’ve got 3 natural causes (Green, Phillips, Sicknick) , 1 overdose (Boyland) and 1 homicide (Ashli Babbitt – shot in the neck by Capitol Police).
Do you see that the corrupt lying unethical disgusting agenda driven media in this country is not only damaging people’s brains with this nonsense….. it is now damaging our system of justice. If lies from Tapper, O’Donnell, Cuomo, Maddow, NY Times, Washington Post, ABC, CBS, USA Today, NPR, are just trivial little “errors” that are not worth getting all fluffed up over, then you are missing the big picture. You are willfully blind to the fact that Democracy does indeed die in darkness and the Justice Department’s false statement certainly unscrewed some bulbs while you held their stool.
