This is the shortest BLOG I’ve ever written. It doesn’t take many words to write what I could have written at 10pm last night. When the police withheld his name for hours….. I knew with zero doubt that this would be the outcome.
10 people were shot in Boulder, Colorado yesterday. Phones were blowing up with Breaking News Alerts.
Another mass shooting in our country instantly becomes a rallying cry for gun control. Then we see the photo of the alleged shooter being dragged away from the scene by the police.
The social media crowds and politicians instantly chime in over the issue of his race because clearly from the photo he appears white.
Chaulk one up for the narrative that white supremacy is alive and rampant in this country. Lots of people quickly made assumptions about WHO he is. WHY did he do it. WHAT radicalized him to commit such a horrendous act.
We wait.
We wait all night and into the next morning to find out the answers to those basic questions.
At 10:28 am we finally learn the most basic information about him. His name and age.
The story will now disappear. The media won’t cover it beyond today for the most part. They won’t do any in depth digging about him. They will move on….
This story. This one story reinforces my long standing belief and my constant rants about this unethical, biased, disgusting, corrupt behavior.
