I’ve used this BLOG to write about numerous things that have made my head explode over the past year. This one could be the cherry on top of my mountain of outrage! It is clear to me and to any of you that are paying attention, we’ve got some useless folks occupying chairs in D.C. The fact is… we as Americans are complicit in the situation we are in right now because we voted for them! We cast a ballot and sent those people to the mahogany desks and historic halls to represent us but the reality is their representation seems to be focused on everyone BUT us!
There is no easier way to prove the point I’m making than to break down their most recent spending package! This “package” of funds being dispersed seems to be focused on shit that has nothing to do with COVID relief or even American taxpaying citizens. It’s atrocious and there are Democrats AND Republicans that gave it the once over and are saying, “Yep, looks good!” I mean what in the absolute hell?
Lots of people have broken this thing down and sure we can “look” into WHO this massive boondoggle is really benefitting, but I’m not going to go there because this BLOG would turn into a volume similar to War and Peace. I’ll say this, if you peel back the layers of this ridiculous thing you don’t have to go too deep to find this money making it’s way back to the useless asshats strolling the halls of Congress.
Personal wealth seems to be common amongst those folks and yet, we are only paying them $174,000 a year so you do the math! Could you afford 2 homes, private schools, private jets and a fleet of vehicles with that annual salary?? If you answered yes, I’m gonna need you to take over my finances because clearly I’m doing it wrong!
So….. Let’s take a look at WHERE our elected officials think COVID relief money should be dispersed to:
$1BILLION for outreach programs for the “socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers” If you wanna host some conferences to tell minority farmers how to overcome systemic racism…. you’ll get PAID some serious cash!
$25 MILLION for the Ag Secretary to spend on modernizing electronic services. They need to make their website look pretty for all the folks looking up how to get food stamps!
$40 BILLION for universities. Yes… it even goes to the ones with billion dollar endowments that could certainly fund their own “tough times”.
$135 MILLION for the National Endowment of the Humanities AND $135 MILLION for the National Endowment of the Arts. Somehow these 2 entities end up with hundreds of millions EVERY damn time there is cash to be handed out!
$200 MILLION for the Institute of Museum and Library Services along with $10 MILLION for the Preservation of Native American Languages. I guess that’s so we’ll be able to talk about this shit bill in languages other than English!
$276 MILLION for Aging and Disability Services plus $1.4 BILLION for supporting Older Americans and their Families. Leave it to the Government to find a way to complicate and make it MORE damn expensive to just mail a freaking check to the elderly!
$1 BILLION for PR firms to come up with some dumb ads telling us that the COVID vaccine is not gonna turn you into a Lizard Person.
$50 MILLION for “Environmental Justice”. What in the ever lovin’ hell is that??
$10 BILLION For the Homeowner Assistance Fund and $40 MILLION for Administrative Costs to hand out the money from the damn fund! Obviously those administrative folks gonna get a nice car, expense account and food catered to their desk while they hand out the money!
$1.5 BILLION for “businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals” …. then they follow it up in the very next paragraph with ANOTHER $1 BILLION just to be sure there’s enough to go around for these peeps! Guess they thought….meh… if we split it in 2 paragraphs maybe the lowly ordinaries won’t notice we’ve got $2.5 BILLION in there cause they think we can’t add!
$15 BILLION for airlines!!!! How much of that do you think is going to Fred the baggage handler and Louise the Flight attendant?? If you guess ZERO…. I’m thinking you’re on target!
$570 MILLION for Emergency Federal Employee leave ….. because they gotta take care of the people handing out your damn money!
$77 MILLION for the Government Accountability Office! LOL!!! If there was ever an office that clearly doesn’t do a good job…. this’d be the ONE!
Then…. just to slap you in the face in case you aren’t outraged enough….. As part of the Family Leave account for Federal workers….. These folks can apply to get $1400 PER WEEK if they have to stay at home since their kids aren’t in school! All of you lowly ordinaries are scrimping and saving and trying to make ends meet because your kids are sitting in their damn bedroom instead of a classroom but the Federal folks…. they’re gonna get some extra cash to help out during this crisis!!! They can draw this money for 15 WEEKS which according to my limited math skills is $21,000 (TWENTY ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS)!
ALL of this makes my head explode with outrage and anger! We The People MIGHT get $1400 if these asshats ever get that part figured out! They are actually arguing over whether it’s FAIR to hand out $1400 to every person in the land…. because they think the rich folk shouldn’t be eligible!!!
We were promised….. in case you need reminding that IF the people in Georgia voted Democrat for those 2 Senate Seats we would get a check for $2,000 on DAY ONE of President Biden’s term. Well…. what do we want to call that?? A LIE??!!
I haven’t seen a single deposit from the Federal Fraud Folks and neither have you! Not a nickel! It’s because the index card they could have drawn up this thing on turned into a 591 page colossal clown show!
I don’t care if you vote Democrat or Republican because they are BOTH supporting this crap bill! Do elections have consequences?? You betcha! We sent people to Washington to represent US… but there is NO WAY to look at this monstrosity and think that they are doing that in any way! Will this thing pass? Yep, it will and it disgusts me every time I think of it!
Here’s the most frustrating thing of ALL…. after I finish typing…. I’m going to sit down and figure out my taxes for 2020. I’m going to calculate HOW MUCH MONEY I need to send to THEM and I damn better get that check there on time OR they are gonna penalize me for it!
