Last night was the moment that all of the doubts I’ve harbored over whether I should criticize the media for corrupt biased behavior ended. I’ve wondered over these past few months if my criticism is justified. If my words of anger and disgust are merely based on politics and not on facts. I was lectured by my father about how I need to stop and realize that my words are sewing “seeds of doubt” into the minds of people unnecessarily. Well, at 9:30 last night I had absolute 100% confirmation that what I’ve ranted about and how I’ve constantly called them out for abhorrent behavior is justified.
Now…… maybe you didn’t have this lightening bolt moment at 9:30 last night and maybe you wonder if in fact my criticism of our media industry is truly fair. I’m getting ready to prove to you that it is in fact “fair”. With one single story that broke last night I can show you how the media is NOT reporting the news to you. They are reporting opinions to you and they disguise them as factual stories.

Last night a story broke that Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) and his office hid 9,000 COVID deaths from the world. They had previously admitted that THIS piece of paper signed by Governor Cuomo on March 25, 2020 had indeed resulted in deaths of nursing home patients.
The Cuomo Administration previously stated that the reason for the mandate was to ‘free up bed space’ in NY hospitals to care for COVID patients. What we never really knew was HOW MANY people he killed with this mandate or whether he intentionally hid the deaths. Now, we do.
You don’t have to be a “news sleuth” or a “news junkie” to know about Cuomo’s mandate. It was covered by pretty much every news organization in the country. But HOW they covered it and WHAT they reported are where the story gets interesting. There were suspicions for months over the number of deaths that occurred and whether they were being reported accurately but here we go with the corrupt media…… they never ever demanded answers. They never put that man on the hot seat and demanded that his office provide an actual number of deaths.
The story is mind-blowing in itself. A sitting Governor signed his name on a piece of paper mandating that nursing homes (home to the most vulnerable people to this virus) had to admit patients from hospitals that tested positive for COVID. He wanted those patients OUT of the hospital so the beds could be used by others and he sent “COVID Cathy” into a building where she infected Eloise, Helen and all of her other vulnerable friends.
At the time, the media didn’t spend much time telling you that there was a HUGE ship sitting in NY harbor sent by President Trump that remained empty. They didn’t tell you that the Javitz Center makeshift hospital and the Good Samaritans field hospital set up to care for patients also remained empty. BEDS were NOT Cuomo’s problem but the media was silent.
Here’s the timeline of that disastrous mandate:
- February 18, 2020 – CDC study concludes that elderly are most at risk from COVID
- March 2, 2020 – NPR reports that nursing homes are uniquely vulnerable to COVID
- March 25,2020 – NY Dept of Health issues mandate “No resident shall be denied re-admission to nursing home solely based on confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID”
- August 26, 2020 – Department of Justice requests COVID data from Governors of states that issued orders that resulted in nursing home deaths (NY, PA, MI, & NJ)
- October 27, 2020 – DOJ sends letter to NY health department requesting info on nursing home COVID deaths
- November 3(ish) 2020 – Joe Biden is elected President
- January 28, 2021 – NY Attorney General reveals investigation findings that nursing home death numbers “may be more than 50 percent higher” than what Gov. Cuomo claimed.
- February 11, 2021 – NY Post reports that Cuomo’s administration knowingly hid COVID nursing home death data and notes that the DOJ has “dropped” the investigation
Let me make that timeline crystal clear. The Governor of NY, his administration, and his health department purposely and knowingly refused to provide data requested by the DOJ until they knew they would not be prosecuted. They now know that Joe Biden’s Department of Justice will NOT investigate or prosecute their refusal to turn over requested documents and they will not be charged with implementing a mandate that directly resulted in the death of citizens in their state.
BUT…. all of that is just background. Here’s why I know I’m right about the media being corrupt and biased. Many people KNEW (including me because I READ and I don’t rely on the media to give me facts) that they were hiding death numbers from the U.S. Department of Justice. It’s been a well known secret for over 5 months that this was occurring and yet…… if you rely on MSNBC, ABC, CNN, CBS, Washington Post, NY Times, etc…. you were never told. Instead you were given story after story of what a true hero Andrew Cuomo is in how he handled the pandemic. The media hasn’t uttered a word about these hidden death numbers.

Then, we can look at how the media completely tipped their biased hat when they compared the COVID response by Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to Cuomo.
As you can clearly see….. the way in which the media fawned all over Governor Cuomo and demonized Governor DeSantis is blatantly obvious. IF the media was doing the job they are supposed to do….. every article would clearly state that Florida has been an unparalleled success while New York has been a bottomless pit of disaster!
Are you angry yet that the citizens in this country have sacrificed immensely over the past 12 months to “save lives”? We’ve sat in our houses, we’ve closed our businesses, we’ve isolated our kids, we’ve strapped on masks, we’ve isolated our elderly family members and yet….. this man, Andrew Cuomo, has been heralded as a hero when he KILLED almost 16,000 citizens in his state. The media slobbers all over him about his “greatness”. It’s disgusting!
But…. I bet I can disgust you even more. The man at the center of this entire COVID national response… the one that is considered to be the absolute ‘expert’ on this virus and our strategy to eradicate it…..laid a whopper of a statement out there:
Anthony Fauci should be doing the walk of shame right now! He should be lambasted for calling an administration that KILLED their citizens “heroic”. Not one single human being should give that man a moment of attention ever again unless it’s for him to grovel and beg forgiveness for being an absolute incompetent idiot!!! He’s telling us we should be able to “return to normalcy sometime in 2022” and that we should wear not one but TWO damn masks now. If you listen to one iota of advice from him or follow one single thing he recommends then YOU are in fact an absolute imbecile!
Last night reaffirmed to me that the media is a broken corrupt industry. There is so much to this story and the lives that were lost because of a mandate that was unnecessary AND deadly.
When you see how they cover for some politicians by failing to write stories or ask questions it certainly calls into question ALL of the stories that they’ve reported through the years about our political leaders. You cannot possibly read this story and think that Andrew Cuomo is in any way a heroic leader. It makes you wonder about all the stories that they wrote about another political leader for four years. Do ya think they were lying to you then?? It’s certainly worth considering in light of what you know now.
Here’s the ultimate outrageous part for me. Every news media organization SHOULD be reporting this story. They should be telling you that last night we learned that Governor Cuomo purposely hid the deaths that he is directly responsible for and he did it to save his political butt from prosecution! They should be shoving a microphone in Anthony Fauci’s masked face and demanding a retraction of his “handled it correctly” statement! But…. they will do neither of those things. Many of them (MSNBC… I’m talking about YOU) won’t report the story at all and NONE of them will correct all of the glowing puff pieces they wrote telling you that Andrew Cuomo was the epitome of a great leader during this pandemic.
When a story of this magnitude breaks and it’s NOT reported by the largest media outlets in this country there is no other way to look at it than to say they are BROKEN and they don’t care. This should be eye opening to everyone regardless of which political party you are aligned with. You read the news because you want to “know” the news. You watch it for the same reasons. Any media outlet that doesn’t tell you this story should never get a moment of your attention again because they’ve proven that they DON’T REPORT NEWS!
