Let me begin by saying that in every instance riots and violence are wrong. They should never be encouraged, supported or tolerated. It doesn’t matter what the “reasons” for the riots are because there are NO valid reasons. None! Ever! It is wrong to ever allow it to become acceptable in civilized society and yet here we are again…. watching videos of a riot occurring in our great nation. It’s appalling and heartbreaking to see.
I have many convictions that I live my life according to. I have opinions and I have beliefs and what I choose to support is based solely and wholly on those things. I caused quite a stir in the social media world a few months ago when I wrote a blog titled, “What I Think of Black Lives Matter”.
It was read by many. Some people commented that it was brave to write those words. While others were offended by my absolute condemnation of that organization. I stood by those words then and I stand by them now. I wholeheartedly with every ounce of my being believe that BLM has used a mission of enlightening people to the plight of black lives to allow and encourage VIOLENCE and HATE.
I watched as MANY, way too many posted social media banners, color blocks, and words of support for BLM. I don’t dispute that the group probably started out with good intentions but along the way those intentions changed and it resulted in riots, looting, destruction of property, injury and death of innocent people. For months we all watched as these so called righteous protesters waged war in cities from sea to sea. Their marches were violent and the local police were unable to control them and many politicians fearful of political backlash refused to condemn them.
One such politician was our soon to be Vice President, Kamala Harris. When asked about this “movement” she not only said they “should continue”, she said, “they WILL continue” and then just to make sure that they continued to have the manpower necessary…. she hitched her wagon to a fundraising effort to bail these miscreants out of jail. The fund took in billions.
She gave legitimacy to violence and destruction. Many of the “protesters” that actually did find themselves in jail…. barely warmed the bench before they were released to participate in the riots later that night. The cycle continued day in and day out. The media didn’t call for it to be stopped….. they ran with the “it’s a valid and worthy fight”. Mayors sanctioned spraying the BLM slogan on their streets. Many politicians didn’t call for it to be stopped…. hell half of them came out in the streets and joined the group or at the very least dropped to their knees to show respect!
My head exploded then and it explodes now when I even think of watching Nancy and her gang cloaked in African garb attempting (because most of them are so old they should reside in a geriatric facility) squat down on one knee and beg for what…. forgiveness…. a blessing? What in the holy hell are they doing?
It took months for the riots to finally stop so we could get a good look at the massive rubble piles they left in their wake. Even then….. even after 30 people were laid to rest and even after cities tallied up the cost of the damage in excess of $2 billion to property… people STILL…. to this day…. have that disgusting BLM banner on their social media accounts.
Do you know what you are portraying to the world with that?? You support black lives? Give me a damn break…. the majority of lives lost and property destroyed belonged to BLACK people!!! Try again. You think you are showing the world that you oppose racism? Destroying the lives of Black people is supporting it… not opposing it you dimwit!
Now… on to what happened on Tuesday in Washington. A peaceful protest turned into a violent mob. We ALL saw the videos. I must admit… I only saw a couple of them because it made me ill. I am appalled at people breaking windows, smashing statues, plopping down in Pelosi’s chair while threatening the lives of our national leaders. It was wrong… so very wrong. It was condemned immediately by people from mayors, to Governors to the President of the United States.
Now, maybe you didn’t think President Trump chose the “right” words or maybe you think his words should have been different, which is certainly your right, but… at least he said words. At least he called in the National Guard to put an end to the siege very quickly because during the riots this summer…. one thing was blatantly different…. calls to stop it and attempts to bring it to an end were nonexistent . A federal courthouse in Portland was assaulted for 90+ days while the Mayor demanded that law enforcement stand down.
Many people in our country are saying that Trump personally is to blame for the Capitol Hill violence. They claim he encouraged it and whipped his base of supporters into a frenzy. What would those same people say if he bowed to the rioters and said “your actions are valid and I support you”? What would they say if he told the mob that their violence should continue? What about if he opened his wallet and bailed these criminals out of jail so they could head back over to Capitol Hill and finish what they started??
Your brain is the size of a flea if you don’t see where I’m going with this. The soon to be 2nd most powerful person in our country…. did JUST THAT. You can’t demand the head of one on a platter and then pull up a chair and break bread with the other. It makes you a …. hypocrite! A huge JUMBOTRON flashing HYPOCRITICAL ASS!!!
If you are demanding that he be removed from office immediately for inciting violence and encouraging a mob then many mayors and governors need to grab some boxes and clean out their desks. The Vice President elect doesn’t need to get a new pantsuit for the 20th because she’ll be in the audience instead of the stage. You can’t have rules for “some” and provide hall passes to “others” for the same sin. It’s unjust, unfair, uncivilized and the BIG one…. UN-American.
So, let’s dish out some blame for Tuesday’s abomination. President Trump used horrible judgement by encouraging hundreds of thousands of furious supporters to gather in DC that day. The majority came to peacefully rally but some came because they are downright MAD at how the November election was handled.
You are an absolute nitwit if you didn’t realize this was a ticking bomb waiting for the fuse to be lit. His speech was not a call to arms or an encouragement of violence but when you gather all of those people that share the same anger and outrage it was an inevitable outcome that violence would occur. If you are a red hat wearing MAGA member…. you can not under any circumstances give the President a pass on this lack of good judgement.
Now, for the Biden brigade….. you set the table, laid out the silverware and dished out the meal for the feast. You never called out your fellow Democrat mayors, Governors and soon to be President and Vice President for failing to condemn the massive riots that destroyed lives all over this country this summer. Your political side of the aisle supported BLM and repeatedly called brick throwing thugs peaceful protesters. The riots were so frequent and lasted so long that they became normalized.
There is blame to be thrown towards both sides of the political aisle. Our leaders allowed it and we as citizens didn’t demand it be stopped. The absence of ALL leaders as well as ordinary Americans demanding peace sent a message that violence and riots are acceptable. This is not a new thing that only appeared when President Trump took office. Riots took place in many cities while Obama was in office. Riots occurred in Washington, DC on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2017 by Democrats furious that HE was taking the oath instead of SHE.
How long are we as Americans going to continue to allow innocent people to suffer greatly at the hands of violent mobs? How many lives have to be lost before everyone says…. ENOUGH? What is that number because I want to know how many more we have to get to before people will take off their damn political hats and stop tolerating it? Every single HUMAN needs to demand that our elected leaders enforce laws regardless of political affiliation.
When the Speaker of the House addresses destruction of public property by saying, “People will do what they do” I’m not getting a good vibe that she thinks this is a serious problem! Maybe now that one of these thugs has planted his rear in her office chair and it’s reached a bit closer to home she’ll take it more seriously.
The media needs to be held accountable for portraying events truthfully instead of the way that they have been. Tell it like it is! Show the reality and leave out the personal commentary. People don’t need an “analysis”. They need the honest unbiased truth. That’s a huge ask of a corrupt industry but if they don’t turn their dumpster fire industry around, the violence that they hide or misrepresent will one day come knocking on THEIR door and effect THEIR families. When flames are leaping in the background of your broadcast maybe calling it a “peaceful protest” is NOT an accurate description??!!
We allowed this horrendous disgusting train on the tracks in our country and we as citizens need to pull the emergency brake and stop this! How many lives are we going to stand quietly by and allow to be destroyed because… meh… “I support their motives” If you don’t use your social media to call out the politicians that can’t seem to locate their spine when it comes to confronting these mobs, then don’t you dare utter a word when the next riot erupts!
I can’t speak for you but my retirement plans do not include living in a country resembling Iran!!! We are better than this and if people would quit “taking sides” based on politics and instead choose one side…. the HUMAN one and become an unmoveable unflinching force of zero tolerance for riots then maybe civilization can continue to exist.
