This is What I Think of The Black Lives Matter Organization

Yep I’m gonna go “there”. I’ve occassionally remarked on social media about this movement and received replies that I just “don’t understand” the plight of the black people in this country. I, as a college educated white woman raising 2 white roommates, living in what people would consider an affluent community…. just don’t get it. I don’t understand what it’s like to be black and to be discriminated against or to worry endlessly over the safety of my kids when they leave home. All of that is true… but it doesn’t mean I can’t see reality. Let’s talk about that reality.

More black people live in poverty than white people. More black children attend substandard public schools. More black children are raised in single parent homes. More black families live in high crime communities and are terrified daily about whether a stray bullet will fly through their window and randomly kill them or their loved ones. All of that is an absolute tragedy and all of that needs to be addressed and remedied. The circumstances that many live in…. some self created and some because of no fault of their own need to be improved.

In comes the Black Lives Matter movement. Their call for equality and an end to racial injustice is certainly a valid one. BUT… how they got to it… how they created the movement.. and where they are taking it are very wrong. I’m not going back in the history books to figure out exactly which black life started the movement so I’m gonna focus on one. Michael Brown. Remember him????? “Hands Up Don’t Shoot”.

Here’s the thing about that…. it’s not true. It didn’t happen. The real facts are his hands WEREN’T up, they were on the officer’s gun. But.. don’t take my word for it. Take the word of the people that SAW it. Take the word of the people that investigated it (Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General). BLM marched in the streets, destroyed property and called police “pigs” for a justified shooting.

Now.. let’s get closer to the present. George Floyd. We all saw the horrifying video of that man taking his last breath laying face down on the pavement with an officer’s knee on his neck. He begged saying he couldn’t breathe and it turns out… he was telling the truth. He was slowly dying before our eyes. Did he deserve to die that way? Absolutely not. No one does.

So…. the BLM hit the streets again. This time just to make sure the world was really paying attention they didn’t come with signs and banners. They came with bricks, bats, and homemade bombs. They lit up the city of Minneapolis & a dozen others to bring attention to his death at the hands of police.

Of course, if you are enlightened to the truth of this whole story….. you know by now that George was combative and failed on numerous occassions to just sit his ass in the police car like he was told to do. The county medical examiner released his report yesterday. George was never going to see another sunrise. He had enough Fentanyl in his body to kill an elephant so if the knee to the neck didn’t kill him….. he was going to “meet his maker” that day regardless.

None of those facts matter to the movement. He was black and he was dead so they march and destroy. Facts don’t matter at all to this movement and therein lies a problem with it.

On Monday, most of us saw a disturbing video of Jacob Blake, a black man being shot in the back by police officers in front of his children. The video is circulating on social media and the news. It is only part of the story.

On Tuesday, a 2nd video from the altercation was released. If you rely on the Mainstream news media to get your current events then you may not know about the 2nd video. It clearly shows Jacob interacting with police on the OTHER side of the car. Wrestling with them. Breaking free and hauling ass to the driver’s side of the car. All along the way being yelled at by police to STOP! He didn’t. He opened the door and reached under the seat.

Here’s where my beliefs about Police Lives Matter come into play. The officers had no idea what he was reaching for. They knew he was a violent felon with open warrants for his arrest. They aren’t going to stand there and watch him pull a weapon OR a wallet out of the car. When you have an outstanding warrant for a violent felony and lunge under your car seat for what might be a weapon while resisting arrest, the police are justified in shooting you no matter what you might think. The BLM brigade is screaming… “They shot him IN THE BACK”. Well, yes they did. If you reach and the cops are behind you, you get shot in the back.

The shooting was justified. The video shows it. The facts show it. The BLM brigade again ignores the facts and proceeds to riot, loot and burn businesses to the ground. They don’t care if it’s a business owned by blacks, they’ll bust the windows and burn it. They don’t care about justice for blacks. BLM is an out of control, violent, destructive, domestic terrorist organization. They have caused billions of dollars in damage to cities throughout this country. They have destroyed lives, homes, vehicles and caused numerous injuries to innocent people.

The Black Lives Matter protesters that are causing the most destruction and attacking innocent people are white. The movement that started as a way to promote social justice and bring enlightenment to the plight of blacks in this country has been hijacked by white anarchist people. If you stand behind the movement because you want to help end racism in this country, then you need to find another organization to align yourself with because that’s not the goal of this one anymore.

In my mind, anyone who supports the Black Lives Matter movement needs to do some serious soul searching. You are on the wrong side of justice for Black people. You are not supporting an end to racism you are promoting it. There is nothing righteous or justified or even civilized about this organization anymore. They are violent, they are destructive and they are USING BLACK LIVES as a shield for their criminal activities.

The social media color blocks and banners supporting BLM didn’t save a single black life. It didn’t help stop a single instance of racism. The only thing it accomplished was it made some people feel like they were doing something. If you really want to help blacks, volunteer at an inner city school, support the boys and girls clubs, tutor at your literacy council or find some other way to bring about meaningful change. Supporting BLM is not the way.

I’ve wondered what Rosa Parks & Martin Luther King Jr would think if they saw the violence and destruction? They changed our country thru sitting and peaceful marches. I think they would be heartbroken and appalled.

If you took a moment of time changing your social media profile picture to include a color block or a banner supporting this organization, I encourage you to take a moment to let the world know that your views have changed. You’ve seen the violence BLM has encouraged and you no longer support this group.

They are emboldened because they think millions of people are behind their cause. Let them and the world know that you are not. People change when they gain knowledge and if you haven’t been provided enough by now to see and understand what BLM really is….. let me know and I’ll be glad to give you more. Make the world better by not encouraging hate and violence. Don’t stand with these criminals anymore.

Black Lives Matter is now the most destructive and deadly terror group to operate on US soil since Al Qaeda on 9/11. That is a FACT.
