Good morning to everyone that knows what “The Webster’s” is. Last night whilst writing, I asked my roommate where the The Webster’s book was. His response…. “??????” I explained… “the big book… the dictionary…. to look up a definition”. He pulls out his phone, “No idea…. but I’ve got Google, whatcha need”. The distance between our generations felt very far apart . Sigh.
As I perused the internet today, I found a story that caught my attention. We have some pretty prominent people in this country including one Presidential candidate that are recommending police forces across the country be defunded. (de-fund v. To prevent from receiving funds) Then they say…. well… we don’t really mean “defund” we mean redirected. Well… in my simple mind, why are you using the word “defund” ? If you work for a company and they tell you they are “defunding” your department… do ya think you’d start looking for another place of employment or just ride it out thinking… I’m sure “defund” doesn’t really mean “defund”? Call me crazy but if they used the word “redirected”… I’m not feeling much better about my continued employment either. With all of that in mind, the media is salivating every time they get a nugget of a story that promotes this preposterous initiative. And… that’s where I’m going with this.
The Atlantic which has 478,534 subscribers along with 1.9 million social media followers laid a WHOPPER of a false story out there for the public to see. As I type this.. .their story is still actively running even though another news organization has looked into it and said it’s a complete steaming pile of horse dung. It’s false. Untrue. A fabrication. The Atlantic has been asked to provide evidence that the event occurred and those that have asked have been ignored. No response… No clarification. I looked into the austere organization and I found this little gem by the Editor-in-Chief, Jeffrey Goldberg hocking subscriptions to his rag.

If I were you… I wouldn’t subscribe and if you are… I’d be asking for a refund. Here’s the story they ran:
The story tells the ordeal of Derecka Purnell and her sister watching a police officer shoot a young boy in a city recreation center years ago because he had ignored the basketball sign-in sheet. The president of a Harvard think tank wrote, “This is a beautifully written piece” and the Atlantic’s constitutional law editor agreed saying, “Derecka is the future”. The story claims “the officer stormed in alongside the court, drew his weapon and shot the boy in the arm”. She continues by saying, “The officer was back at work the following week”.
On any average day or time, I’d skip right over this story because I’m not a fan of the Atlantic, but when another media outlet is reporting that they have attempted to verify this piece that is causing folks to think that the extraordinary efforts to “Defund” the police are absolutely a worthy cause, I can’t skip.
The other media outlet reached out to the St. Louis mayor, the police department, the records keepers, people that lived in the supposed area and they can’t find a soul.. or a miniscule of evidence that this event EVER occurred. One would think that if an officer discharged his weapon and shot a child at the very least a newspaper in the area would have a story about it but they don’t. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. So… this story when you add up their subscribers and followers has potentially been viewed by 2 million + people and they’ve all been lied to. Seems like a pretty big deal doesn’t it? I’ve got a bigger one:
CNN didn’t just run A story... they ran HUNDREDS. They hit millions of keystrokes typing out this Russia Collusion Narrative. They aired numerous interviews with people discussing the topic and they dedicated more hours of prime time television than I care to tally up. Their story is a complete load of bunk. Their average daily audience is 1.652 million gullable loons along with 49.1 million social media followers.
This isn’t just a travesty…it’s an attestation that the network should shudder immediately. The most trusted name in “news” is a word salad moniker because one could ask, “what’s your definition of NEWS”? If it’s made up fairy tales, then yep… this is the place to go. My head explodes when I see Jim Acosta actually taking offense to being referred to as a “Fake News Journalist”. Then we have Brian Stelter, the Reliable Sources guru. Not sure who his sources are but he seriously needs to get some better ones. Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper clogging up the airwaves with their breaking bullcrap should also be taken to task.
I am still waiting for CNN to reveal the irrefutable evidence that Rep Adam Schiff (D-CA) has had in his possession for 3 +years. Now… you can continue with the buffoonery that Trump and his campaign colluded with the Russians to win the election but at this point you look like the rear end of a donkey. There have been so many documents released over the past 2 months that any lingering belief you have, should vanish like the wind.
The bottom line…. you were lied to. You were lied to by the mainstream media. You were lied to by the Intelligence community powers that be, like Jim Comey. You were lied to by Peter Strozk. You were lied to by James Clapper and John Brennan as well. Now you might think… those are just people in Government without a huge influence on your personal existence. Well, how about Joe Biden? How does he strike ya? He was pretty important between 2008-2016 and now he wants you to send him to live in a big white house in D.C. He claimed to have no knowledge or involvement in the Russia investigation. Recent document releases destoy that claim. He personally requested the unmasking of General Michael Flynn’s name from surveilance transcripts. He was also the one floating the possible “Logan Act” prosecution of the incoming NSA. Truthful media is vital to our country and we need some! Check out this HUGE lie:
A NY Times article written in 2017 was for the most part the launch of the full blown “Putin controls Trump” fallacy. While looking into this NY Times hugely innacurate story… I actually stumbled upon an article that they published in January 2017, that proclaims them to be the heroes of this saga. Yep… they sure did. They touted the fact that they actually sat on information that they possessed the previous fall and did not write about it because it couldn’t be 100% verified. Oh my gosh … seriously? So you took a pause in the fall but then you went full throttle with the made up crap starting the moment President Trump took the oath of office and haven’t let off the gas since. Pardon me while I refuse to give you a standing ovation for your momentary pause.
Documents released this past week reveal that when they finally decided to run the story, it was completely FALSE. Then it was picked up by the rest of the Dumpster Fire media and the launch of Rachel Maddow’s teary eyed broadcasts stating “this is the end of our democracy” began. Maybe you as an average ordinary American don’t really think this whole saga effects you but I would argue that this whole thing has effected you more than the virus that is within our borders right now. This false narrative was used to knee cap an incoming President and his administration. They were constantly having to address it, explain it, defend their actions and dispute the allegations that were alleged. In a nutshell, these stories were aimed at removing a duly elected President of this country.
If you are out their wielding the charge that Mail in Voting is a must because every legal citizen is guaranteed the right to vote…. then where do you stand on the fact that the media along with an outgoing administration attempted to nullify the votes of 62,984,828 Americans? You see… you don’t get to be all righteous about citizens voting rights and then dismiss an event of this caliber occurring in our country. You may not like the outcome of that election… I’ve got good news for ya… we’ve got another one coming up soon so you can cast your ballot and see where the chips fall. You do NOT get to keep posting items inferring that “Trump stole the election” or that he is “Putin’s puppet.” The facts those stories were based on have dried up and disappeared. Almost the entire media industry in this country promoted this fake story and they should not be given a pass for the unethical corrupt behavior. When you think back on which media organizations were running wild with this false narrative… I hope you rethink where you spend your future subscription dollars and moments of your life watching because you deserve better. You deserve true stories!
And…. just in case you are under the impression that it’s ONLY the National media…. it’s NOT! The local news is guilty too. This story was NOT VERIFIED before it ran.
My PSA: For anyone that is slinging the story that Incognito Forces are randomly arresting people for peacefully protesting in Portland…..ya need to stop. Peaceful protesters don’t destroy Federal property and “Incognito” secret police don’t wear patches with their name and employer on their arm!!!
AND…. I did find The Webster…. in the closet right on top of my late grandmother’s Scrabble game. I really miss her!!!
