John Chancellor, Roger Mudd, & Jessica Savitch have lost the proud legacy that they worked so hard to establish. Their daily dose of reporting the news has been destroyed by the anchors that hold those seats today. There was a time we tuned in at 6 pm and Sunday mornings to see what was happening in the world and those stories were reliable, accurate & trustworthy. Today, not so much. I recommend that NBC News change their logo from a proud peacock to an imaginary unicorn.
2 days ago, the Attorney General of the United States, William Barr, sat down for an interview with Catherine Herridge of CBS News. During that interview she asked him about the recent decision to drop all charges against General Michael Flynn. Here is her final question to him and the answer he gave:
On Meet the Press Sunday morning, Chuck Todd had a panel discussion about that interview and asked his guests if they thought William Barr was playing politics with his decision. Here’s the the clip that he gave them from the AG’s interview to make that argument:
That is some MAJOR editing in my opinion. He left out the key part of the answer the AG gave. The disgusting part of this is the WHY. If NBC really wanted an honest debate about the motives of that decision then WHY wouldn’t they provide his entire answer and begin the debate there? It’s a simple answer and a rather disturbing one….. they have a narrative that they are going to stick with. They are going to ignore the facts, hide them, edit them and run the story through their biased filter and feed it to the American people so they can continue their malicious war against General Flynn.
Soon after Chuck Todd’s gross behavior, many media organizations called him out for the dishonesty. The Department of Justice chimed in as well. 8 hours after the conclusion of the broadcast, Meet The Press responded via a tweet. Here it is:
They admitted to inadvertently and inaccurately reporting William Barr’s comment. This was NOT an accidental edit or an oops we messed up. The damage was done and a tweet 8 hours later does not right this massive wrong.
The media is a lying clown show. They take offense to being called Fake News by POTUS and many Americans but they continually provide the ammunition for the label to be used every single day.
This week the news cycle is going to be horrendous! There are stories that will come out that will be extremely disheartening for this country and our rule of law. Choose your news sources wisely. If I were you, I’d avoid NBC all together because they will NOT be honest and will continue this travesty and think it’s okay to TWEET a correction hours after the damage is done.
